This Cookie Policy explains the purposes for which cookies and similar technologies may be used on elqa.com.tr and how users can manage their preferences.

1. What is a cookie?

Cookies are small data files that websites can store on your device through your browser. They may be used to maintain a session, ensure security, remember preferences or analyse how the site is used.

2. Cookie categories

2.1. Necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the basic functions of the site to work, and for security, sessions, the cart and orders, and remembering your cookie preference. To the extent they are necessary to provide the service the user has expressly requested, they may be used without separate consent.

2.2. Functional cookies

These may be used to remember additional functions such as language, appearance or user preferences. Functional cookies requiring explicit consent are only activated after the user has given a preference.

2.3. Analytics / performance cookies

These may be used to measure visits and usage behaviour and to improve site performance and the user experience. Analytics cookies requiring explicit consent are not run before the user accepts them.

2.4. Advertising / marketing cookies

These may be used for purposes such as measuring or personalising advertising or retargeting. Such cookies are not activated without the required explicit consent.

3. Cookie preference panel

On the first visit to the site the user is offered “Accept all”, “Reject all” and “Manage preferences” options equally and comprehensibly. Non-necessary cookies are off by default and the user can change their preferences at any time.

4. Cookie inventory

The list below shows the cookies actually used on elqa.com.tr, in the order: cookie name, provider, category, purpose, duration and party.

No advertising, retargeting or social media cookies are used on the site. Analytics cookies are only run if the user gives consent in the cookie panel.

  • __Secure-authjs.session-token - ELQA - Necessary - Keeps a signed-in user's session open - 7 days - First party
  • elqa_cerez_tercihi - ELQA - Necessary - Remembers your cookie preferences so the panel is not shown again on every visit - 6 months - First party

  • _ga_<measurement id> - Google (Google Analytics 4) - Analytics - Keeps session state - 2 years - Third party
  • Analytics cookies are only loaded once you consent in the cookie panel; without consent the Google Analytics script is never added to the page. If you withdraw consent, these cookies are deleted.
  • In addition, your cart is kept only on your own device using your browser's local storage (elqa_cart_v1); it is not a cookie and is not sent to the server.

5. Third-party services

Where analytics, video, map, payment, social media or similar third-party services are used, the cookies they place and any resulting transfers abroad are assessed separately against the technical inventory and the necessary information and consent mechanisms are applied.

6. Changing your preferences

Users can change their cookie preferences at any time from the “Cookie settings” link on the site. It is also possible to delete or block cookies through browser settings; however, blocking necessary cookies may affect how some site functions work.

7. Personal data

Where personal data is processed through cookies, the KVKK Privacy Notice and the applicable legislation apply. Consent for cookies requiring explicit consent is obtained through an active choice and the user may withdraw it.
