Yes, the programme is built for that. Participants practise audit planning, evidence gathering, interview technique and writing findings. The standards ask an internal auditor for competence and independence, not for an accredited certificate.
No. Participants who complete the training receive an ELQA certificate of attendance for use in the organization's competence records. Accredited personnel certification falls to a separate body.
People who know the processes and can be independent of the area they will audit. Choosing participants from different departments makes it easier to build that independence into the audit programme.
